Coming home is such sweet blessing
after being far away
knowing that there is a haven
waiting at end of day

nestled in a place of comfort
where things become the norm
provides a place where there’s safety
while hiding from the storm

a home filled with pleasant memories
of times that had long passed
speak of love found in its people
make memories that will last

not all has e’er been so happy
as things will mar the peace
but love shall always conquer war
and conflict will thus cease

bringing about a wholesome home
where peace resides within
always guarding the souls inside
from evil breaking in

as long as a home has Jesus
where He can rule and reign
abiding e’er with His presence
soothes any kind of pain

a shelter is a home perhaps
but God becomes our rest
coming home to Him in assurance
is where love is its best
